Description: ~VINTAGE ~ TIN ~ LITHO ~ "SPARKS" FRICTION ~ MILITARY AIRPLANE F-A-985 STAR FIRE LOCK HEED F-94B ALLISON J-33 US AIR FORCE 10985 (First off...I am Not a Toy Collector, I'm just writing down what I see) Plane measurement's: 9" ~ Nose to Tail x 9" ~ Wing Span. This Airplane has a Spark Friction action. It activates when the plane is pushed on a surface. Then "sparks"can be viewed inside a clear window; inside that window, there is another window surrounded in tin, The color of that window is a red translucent. You can find this "action" on the top of plane. The friction motor is at the belly of the plane. ~ more LITHO Info: There is an arrow pointing to the Spark box with "Allison J-33" written inside of it. There is 2 Pilots with masks. A white Star in a blue circle on a rectangle white box with a red stripe.(The star can also be found on one wing & a USAF on the other.) There is a lithograph of a "Knight" with a shield & sword, & Lightening at both feet. (these are pictured on both sides of the nose) Not sure about age. Somewhere in the 40's - 50's. < If Any One out there Knows...Please Contact me. That info would be nice to know. Then I can add that info to this listing. There are 2 Logo's located at the tail underside: 1) On one side of the tail is a Y with-in a star, the star tips are indented inward. Making it look almost like a maple leaf. 2) On the other side is a circle with the 3 point Mercedes star and the initials E.T.O.P. in another circle. The word Japan is next to it. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Condition: It's in Good Played with condition. There is slight scratches here & there. A very slight sign of corrosion on wing. (refer to Pictures)Something is on the wing over the usaf side... not sure what, but I will not attempt to clean Anything on this piece, I will leave that up to the buyer. There is NO Cracking of the metal that I can see anywhere. The tail wing moves ever so little, but it is encased in the planes tail fin, and body, so it will always stay in it's place. Everything otherwise... Feels Secure. The Friction Mechanism is in Great working Order. The Motor is Sturdy in it's place. The flint is worn down. However, I was told that can be replaced. There is a switch mechinism to get inside the flint replacement area. (refer to pictures) Both Tire rims are missing the rubber wheels, and I was told those too can be replaced easily. Needs a Good Cleaning. The Color looks dull to me, Age? or, Is that what they call Patina? If you have Any Questions...Don't Hesitate to Ask! Thank You for Looking!
