Up for auction is the Walt Disney Pluto push puppet with box. This toy is the result of the Marx Toy Co. switch to plastic from tin in the late 1960's early 1970's as a cost saving measure to salvage the company. Ultimately, the measures were unsuccessful and the company was sold. Later version Marx plastic toys were sold under the Elms, Combex, Charmore and a variety of other names. Here we feature the push puppet toy made with the Pluto character. You push the bottom button under the character and the figure dances around wildly. As the pictures show the toy is in spectacular condition with original tail and ears. Would be had to find a better version. Colors are absolutely fibrant and hard to see any major scrapes or scatches. The Marx logo appears on the bottom and is clear. The rare and often not seen box is vibrant but does show wear with age. I have tried to show the bends and minor tears in the photos as well as the partial remaining original price sticker showing the Disneyland name. Still, the colors are vibrant, the box is solid and it will display nicely with this superb toy. Email any questions. Buyer pays shipping and insurance.
