These comfy slippers are made of 100% Polyester and have a 1" thick sole with slip guards. The slippers are One Size Fits Most measuring 10" Long. The I Love Lucy Show debuted in 1951 and was an instant hit with the ONE AND ONLY Lucy and her Cuban band leader husband, Ricky Ricardo. They live in a Brownstone apartment building on East 68th Street in New York City with their best friends and landlords, Fred and Ethel Mertz. The show revolves around the antics of Lucy as she tries to get out of the jams, scrapes, and predicaments of all kinds that she gets herself into, usually involving her husband, Ricky. Fred & Ethel frequently find themselves in the middle of Lucy's outlandish escapades, which are many! Lucy is quite sly though and can usually use her beauty and charm to get her out of the worst of her troubles! "California, Here We Come" Episode 110 originally aired in the fourth season on January 10, 1955. In this classic episode, the Ricardos and Mertzes are on their way to Hollywood and decided driving would be the best way to get there so they could take everything they wanted to with them. Ricky and Fred start packing the car with ease and are quite pleased with themselves until they turn to realize that Lucy and Ethel had brought out everything but the kitchen sink to go too! After some hysterical antics in which they try to make everything fit, they finally decide to send most of their stuff ahead to California before them. As they finally embark on their road trip to Hollywood, they begin to sing, "California, Here We Come"! Our collectible slippers are a tribute to this episode.
