I always obtain receipt of postage from royal mail and if item is lost in transit we will put a claim in with royal mail BUT WILL NOT PAY OUT OF MY OWN POCKET. Royal mail rules state that a claim cannot be made until 15 working days have elapsed for the item to be delivered. A claim will be made straight away and when I have received refund from Royal Mail will then refund customer.
