You are bidding on a very rare Santa Howdy Doody Christmas Light. Manufactured by Royal Electric Company, Catalog No. 904. "The Howdy Doody Show was one of the first and easily the most popular children's television show in the 1950s and a reflection of the wonder, technical fascination, and business realities associated with early television." Approximately 14" Tall. The lightbulb can be replaced in the back, working bulb is included. Made of very thin plastic, this one is in very good condition, original cord in excellent condition, does have a crack to one corner, no missing piece but it is cracked. There is also a patch on the cardboard back but not sure what it is covering, did not attempt to remove as I didn't want to tear the boardstock. These are very hard to find. He is in very good working condition, with slight wear, please see pictures. Great old display piece! Not many of these have survived over the years, great addition to any Howdy collection!
